Queer Somatics

In this book, we discuss somatic (body-oriented) practices that are (or can be) especially appropriate for or geared towards those who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community.

In addition, we aim at giving a deeper understanding of the intimate and indissoluble connection between the physical/sensual and emotional/mental aspects of “being queer,” and how important a consistent body-mind approach is in tackling LGBTQ+ specific issues.

Nonetheless, it doesn’t mean that this book is only meant for “queer folks.” We think that everyone who’s interested in knowing more about the concerns the LGBTQ+ community is confronted with, or those who are in whatever way allied or work with the community may find the content useful.

Note that this book aims at providing you with a conceptual understanding of the topic and is not a training course.
